Alright, I have to admit that I've never loved the ideas of transparencies when it comes to scrapbooking. As a frame, I got it, but as an element, no. But now that I've played with a couple, I think I get it.
Sometimes you want a little something to add some texture, but not overcrowd something else. Like this quote transparency I got to play with recently. It definitely adds something to the page but doesn't overpower the flowers and delicate embellishments.

Now I'm not saying that I love them yet. But I am learning that they have a place in scrapbooking, albeit not one that I think I would use frequently.
Do you have an embellishment that you don't use at all because you just "don't get it?" I'd love to hear about it.

I've always struggled with transparencies too! I don't like figuring how to get them to stick...
Hi Kiki! Thanks so much for joining me at Helmar Ustream tonight!
I am so loving this layout. Great use of orange and layering!
